# Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs help users visualise a page’s location within the website.

## Purpose

Breadcrumbs act as secondary navigation, helping the user understand a page’s location, the hierarchical structure of the website, and navigate back through the previous pages.

## Anatomy

The Breadcrumbs component can be broken down into the following elements -

1. **Previous page(s)** <br /> Link(s) to the parent page(s) that were previously visited.

2. **Chevron** <br /> The Chevron Icon helps to understand the steps in the path.

3. **Current page** <br /> Displays the name of the page currently visited.

## Variants & States

- Appearance: Default, Light
- Breakpoint: Mobile, Desktop
- Number of Pages: Two — Six
